GCA Strategic Planning Update

Granville Christian Academy ("GCA") is in the midst of a very successful school year under the leadership of Interim Administrator, Jennifer Haga. Granville Christian Academy is a ministry of our church and uses the SHBC facility for Christian education for students in Grades K-12. The current enrollment for the school is 282, with 46 staff members.   

This is an exciting time for this ministry. As enrollment continues to increase, the GCA board has implemented strategic planning to address the need for additional space for students. This team is in initial, exploratory stages and they are working closely with the Elders of Spring Hills to develop a plan that meets the needs of GCA and is in the best interest of Spring Hills. Further, they are exploring ways to improve compensation and training for their staff.  

Short-term and long-term goals are being identified and the teams will continue to share their progress with the Elders as appropriate.  

The GCA board held a parent meeting this past week. Some of the topics of discussion included strategic planning initiatives, the 2013-2014 tuition rate schedule and the intentions of the board relative to spiritual growth, curriculum development and professional development.
